Position Overview

Maranatha Christian Academy is seeking a committed Christian educational teacher’s aid who lives and works, from a biblical worldview. The Teacher’s Aide works collaboratively with the school administrator, staff, faculty, and students to ensure smooth educational operations.

This position will support teacher administrative tasks (copying, filing, grading, organizing), creative tasks (bulletin boards and room design), and student academic needs. This position will support lunch and recess supervision during assigned times of the day and aid in transitioning students from one area to another as is noted by the daily schedule.

 Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Supervise a grade level within the lunchroom according to lunchroom procedures.
• Supervise recess according to recess procedures.
• Use office equipment including but not limited to: copy machine, laminator, and cutting board.
• Support student learning as requested.
• Maintain bulletin boards and room organization to reflect an aesthetically pleasing school.
• Grade papers as assigned.
• Support the student schedule through timely transitions from classroom to classroom.
• Other duties as assigned by the classroom teacher and/or elementary principal.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Love for children and Christian education
• Some college preferred

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to run, climb stairs, and facilitate work on the floor as needed.
• Ability to type for extended periods of time.
• Ability to stand, stoop, crawl, bend or kneel.
